Our church supports Mat and Suzanne Gregory, two BMS missionaries currently in Lebanon. Here's the info:

Matt and Suzanne Gregory BMS World MissionMat and Suzanne Gregory are from Sutton Coldfield. They first went to Lebanon in 2002/3 as volunteers. In 2004 they joined the mid-term programme and served then as now at the Dar El Awlad boys’ home, being seconded to the organisation Kids’ Alive International, also in Lebanon. They then trained for a year at IMC, BMS Mission Centre in Birmingham, before returning to Lebanon. Mat is now field director for Kids’ Alive there. They manage staff and children.

Dar El Awlad has a residential home, a primary school and a Moses’ basket (day care) as part of their programme.

At the beginning of November there was the grand opening of the New Horizons Centre a little south of the town of Sidon, for those who have never ever had any education. At present they are running 3 days a week, providing basic education in Arabic, Maths and English.

On a personal note, they had their first child, Seth Matthew Timothy on 12th February 2010. They chose to stay in Lebanon for the birth and all went well.

They come on home assignment every 2 years and spent the summer of 2010 in the UK visiting link churches and catching up with family and friends.
