Rev Andy ScottAndy was born in west London (1977) and spent most of his youth in Hayes (London) and Frimley (Surrey). He studied Theology at Exeter University. Having sensed a call to pastoral ministry for some considerable time he then went to Bristol Baptist College from 2004-2007 to combine congregation-based ministerial training with a post-graduate course. He was made aware of the pastoral vacancy at Hanbury Hill towards the end of his time in Bristol and, following his Ordination at Tyndale Baptist Church, became our Minister in September 2007. He has recently completed his three-year 'Newly Accredited' probationary programme with the Heart of England Baptist Association.

Andy has a desire to see our church fellowship grow as disciples of Christ, and is committed to Bible-based teaching and preaching, pastoral care and mission outreach into our locality. He is involved with Churches Together in Stourbridge and the Brierley Hill Project, offers chaplaincy to the Dudley Local Policing Unit, and sometimes takes school assemblies.

Andy is married to Shona and they have three young daughters (Emilia, Esther & Rhianna). He enjoys relaxing with family, summer camping (when it is dry!), photography, cycling, running and is learning bass guitar. He is nervous about revealing his football loyalties in these parts but follows the Hornets. Andy posts occasional messages, sermons and other quirky things on his own blog: revandy.wordpress.com.

Andy writes for our regular church newsletter. You can read Andy's regular 'From the Manse' entries below:
